To ensure a safe, productive, and legally sound environment for all participants, please review the foundational guidelines of our mediation services below:  

*Confidentiality & Privacy: Your privacy is paramount. Any and all information, communications, and documentation shared before, during, or after our sessions will be kept strictly confidential. Penn Mediation will never share your personal information with third parties unless required by law.  

*Neutrality & Collective Meetings: To maintain strict neutrality and fairness, the mediator will only meet with the participating parties collectively. We do not conduct private, one-sided consultations during the active mediation process.  

*No Legal Advice or Representation: Penn Mediation provides conflict resolution services, not legal counsel. The mediator is not an attorney and does not offer legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation.  

*No Court Testimony: Mediation is a voluntary, confidential settlement process. By engaging in our services, all parties agree that the mediator cannot be called upon to provide legal testimony, depositions, or evidence in any court proceeding or jurisdiction.  

*The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): Upon the successful conclusion of the mediation process, the mediator will compile a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) based entirely on the discussions, solutions, and agreements reached collectively by the parties. Each party will be presented with a copy of this document.  

*Filing & Legal Finalization: The MOU is a summary of your agreements, not a binding court order or a finalized legal contract. It is the sole responsibility of the parties involved to choose how to proceed with the MOU. You may choose to file it directly with the appropriate jurisdictions, organizations, or entities, or retain independent legal counsel to review the MOU and draft a formal, binding contract or divorce decree based upon it. Please note: Prior to our first official session, all participants will be required to electronically sign a formal, comprehensive Agreement to Mediate document that fully outlines these terms.
